Part of the same frontage with No 8. 3 storeys. Painted bick. Rusticated quoins
to left. 3 windows. Stepped and chamfered voussoirs and segmental heads to 1st
floor windows. Paired or single sashes in moulded surrounds, some glazing bars.
Victorian shop-front on left. Double-fronted, under moulded and fretted cornice.
3-light shop-windows to each side with Gothic tops. Floriated spandrels. Slender
colonettes with floriated capitals. Paired 1/2-glazed doors in centre with scrollwork
over. Wrought-iron scrolled cresting over shop-front. To right is carriage entry
with segmental arch and rusticated surround.
All the listed buildings from Nos 2 to 10 with No 12 (South side), and from Crown
Hotel to No 11(North side), and the Market Cross and Nos 6 to 9 (consec) Market
Place form an extremely important group.
