Mid/late C19. 3 storeys. Red brick, probably by Merrick a local builder. Ashlar
dressings and ashlar to ground floor. Plain band and parapet. Rusticated quoins.
Stringcourse. 2 windows. 2nd floor has stepped voussoirs, 1st floor has 2 bays
with dentilled cornices and 3 lights each. Sashes with close-set glazing bars.
Contemporary shop-front with dentilled cornice, double shop-fronts with windows
divided by slender colonettes. Foliated capitals and spandrels.
Nos 18 and 20 form a group.
