Late medieval timber-framed building, now roughcast. Some ashlar to right side.
Gabled front of 2 storeys plus attic. Plain bargeboards. Pantile roof. Upper
storeys jettied over ground floor. To right is a corbel carved with a grotesque
bust. 1 window to attic, 2 windows to 1st floor. Sashes, some glazing bars.
Modern shop-front. One of a pair with No 1.
Nos 1 and 2, the Market Cross and No 2 Northload Street all form a good group.
