Late C19. 3 storeys plus attic. Red brick with ashlar dressings. Slate roof
with cresting. 1 dormer with triangular head and bargeboards. Cornice band and
parapet with shield dated 1892. Banded quoins. Stringcourse. 3 windows with ashlar
surrounds, keystones and sills on brackets. Sashes, vertical glazing bars. Moulded
and dentilled fascia over ground floor. Modern shop-fronts.
The listed buildings on the East side, the Market Cross, Nos 2 to 12 (even) High
Street, Abbey Gatehouse, Town Hall and St Dunstan's House, Magdalene Street all
form a very important group.
