Previously known as Heaphys. Occupying a prominent corner site with curved front
leading into Benedict Street. Mid/late C19. 3 storeys. Single dormer survives
in the eastern part of hipped pantile roof. Red brick with ashlar dressings.
Parapet and plain cornice supported by curved brackets. Plain stringcourse. 6
windows in all, with raised surrounds and segmental tops to 1st floor. Sashes
without glazing bars. Dentilled cornice over ground floor. Curved shop-front
on corner into Benedict Street, original glazing. Said to be a unique type of
building in Glastonbury.
