Dated 1833. Lodge in Turnpike style. Built for George Sheppard's wife as a
dame school. 1½ storeys. Coursed and dressed rubble. Pantile roof with stone tiles at base of left side. 3 bays. Central projecting gable. 2 and 3 light mullion windows with moulded heads and labels, ground floor centre a 1-3-1
angled bay; No 2 retains cast-iron lattice casements. Gables porch to right
with Tudor arch and side lancets; Tudor arch studded door. Stone tiles 1½
storey extension to rear with gabled dormer to 2 light mullion window.
