Shown on 1744 map. Altered. 2 storeys and attics. Rendered. Tiled roofs. No
23 painted. 1 raking top dormer each to Nos 23 and 24. 3 chimneys, the centre
one rubble. No 23 has 2 windows on 1st floor, modern wood casements and 2 on
ground floor, 3 light casements with lintel continued across door, a single light
window to right. Nos 24 and 25 have 3 windows on 1st floor, 2 on ground floor,
glazing bar sashes in block surrounds. Paired doorways. All 3 doors ½ glazed
with 5 raised and fielded panels below. Interior of No 24 has large fireplace on
ground floor.
Nos 23-28 (consec) Christchurch Street East are known as Plumbers Barton and form
an alley connecting Christchurch Street with Vicarage Street.
