Early C19 (after 1813). Terrace of 3 houses. Stucco with chamfered quoins. Hipped slate roof with 2 ashlar and 2 brick chimneys. Wide eaves with coved cornice. 3 storeys and basement. 6 windows in all, glazing bar sashes in architraves, 1st floor windows have wrought-iron balconies. Centre house
has wide porch with tented canopy on trellis. Segment headed doorway in architrave, 3 panel door with segmental overlight. No 31, which has a stair-turret behind, was the home of Christina Rosetti 1853/54 while teaching in
Rome. Contemporary staircases inside.
