Range of late C17 cottages with mostly C18 features, Nos 41-44 having C18
flat window surrounds with outer ogee moulding. Modern pantile roofs, 3 stone
chimneys retained. 4 dormers in all. 2 storeys, 2 windows each, Nos 42 and 44
have 3 windows on 1st floor; a variety of window types including 4 casements of 3
lights with flat moulded mullions, No 40 C18 with edge roll, No 41 with dripmould,
No 42 with dripmould over modern casements and 2 bays, the rest sashes. 3 panelled
doors, No 44 with good foliate cast iron knocker.
Nos 41 and 42 have stair turrets projecting to rear.
Interior of No 44 retains stair niche against stack and bricked up bread oven on the
other side.
