Probably 1830s with Gothic revival features. Irregular plan villa with end bow to
left and another bow to centre right. Coursed and dressed rubble, tiled roof with
fishscale bands, crested ridge and coped verges with finials. Bracketted eaves
swept up over drips on 1st floor bow windows. Stone stacks set diagonally (only 2
out of 4 remain). 2 storeys with gable-lit attic. 2 + 1 + 1 bays, full height bow
to right of centre with 3-light stone-mullioned casement to 1st floor, pointed lights
under 4-centred head with dripmould. Other 1st floor windows are small glazing bar
sashes in 2-light stone mullioned openings. Glazing bar sashes to ground floor.
Return to left treated as full-height bow with similar fenestration to the other.
Tiled pentice-roofed verandah along ground floor, also returned. Gabled porch with
4-centred opening in pointed-arch recess, trefoiled niches. Pointed niche to left
of porch.
Interior: top-lit stair (oak with unbraced upper flight). On ground floor the south-
east bow window room has a Gothic fireplace.
