Circa 1863. Architect W J Willcox (according to "The Builder"). 2 storeys, rubble
with ashlar quoins, bands and dressing. 2 bays, gable to left with arched recess on
1st floor above 2 windows, pierced circular vent over. 3 windows below, all with
"Caernarvon" arches with moulded lintels. Door to right, half-glazed; pointed doorway
with circle pattern fanlight. Gablet over. The doorway is recessed with 2 lancets
to right having corbelled hoods. These are separated from doorway by a squat
column. The right hand return has a projecting gable with arched 2st floor window
recess. 2 storey extension to right at an angle to gable and with corbelled corner.
Nos 1, 1A, 2 and 3 Wesley Slope, together with the school form an interesting
group with an overall Gothic design.
