ST64SW SHEPTON MALLET CP CHARLTON ROAD (North side)

House. Circa 1700, refronted c1840. Rubble, rendered, C20 pantile roof, brick stacks to each gable and centre of roof.
Rectangular on plan. 2-storeys, 4-bays, late C20 poly-vinyl chloride top hung casements with glazing bars, except
second bay to ground floor has lead roofed angular bay window with sash fenestration. Square head doorway in plain
stone surround flanked by 2-panelled pilasters supporting triangular pediment, modern recessed double doors of 4 panels
each. Stepped-back wing of lower height to left, 2-storeys, 2-bays, ground floor has ovolo moulded stone mullioned
window with angled label above, flanked to left by modern poly-vinyl chloride casement; 2-light bead moulded mullioned
window to first floor.
