(Highfield House)



Town house, now offices. Circa 1800, for Allen family. Render, hipped slate roof, ashlar stacks moulded around base and
apex. Symmetrical facade. 2-storeys 5-bays, sash windows with glazing bars. Central semi-circular head door opening,
6-panelled door, decorated fanlight above. Solid sided porch having moulded cornice and blocking course supported on
3/4 Tuscan columns. Hipped slate roof outshut to left return with late C19 angular bay connected to house by mid C20
glazed passage way.
