Pair of chest tombs, 20 metres
south west of tower of Church of
St Andrew


Pair of chest tombs. Doulting ashlar. That nearest church to Thomas Whatley, early C18; moulded plinth, elaborately
decorated corner pilasters, memorial plaque in moulded surround to either side, above deeply chamfered and moulded
cornice, hipped top. Inscriptions missing on that furthest from the church, though probably late C18; stands on moulded
plinth, panelled sides, corner pilasters with acanthus decoration, central fluted pilaster strip to each side,
decorated entablature, moulded cornice, slightly hipped top.
