4/141 Former gatehouse to farmyard at
NGR ST 751 459

Former gatehouse to farmyard now barn. Circa 1750. Coursed and squared Doulting rubble, stone eaves course, hipped
double Roman tile roof. Classically styled. 2-storey facade, 1:1:1 bays, centre bay projects slightly under triangular
pediment; below wide gateway with semi-circular arch head, triple keystone and impost band; C20 plank doors. Flanking
bays have window openings in plain stone surrounds; that on first floor of left side mutilated, C20 plank doors
inserted. Returns have 3 blocked openings per side on upper floor. Pent roofed outshut of one storey on left side. Once
part of model fare attached to Marston Hall (qv Trudoxhill CP).
