15/25 The Wool Hall

Wool hall, now store and house. C16, restored C19. Rubble, pantile roofs. Rectangular on plan. Salient feature is
the semi-circular headed archway over the entrance to the ground floor which incorporates an exterior staircase with
rubble balustrade leading to a plank door on the first floor protected by a pent-roofed porch. Double plank doors with
decorative iron hinges to ground floor entrance. Interior contains C19 fireplace in four-centred stone surround to
first floor, portion of tie-beam roof probably of C16. Formerly associated with Beckington Castle (qv).
