4/202 Boathouse



Boathouse. Mid C18. Boat chamber in a square rubble built structure, frontage of quarry-faced ashlar, broad central
archway with dressed quarry-faced voussoirs giving access to interior. Above a "temple", rendered with a slate roof
and an ashlar frontage in a classical style. Pedimented frontage supported on 4 Ionic columns; door opening set back
in a moulded stone architrave, bolection frieze and moulded cornice, door missing; window opening to each side in a
similar surround, moulded sills, windows missing.
