Detached house, former rectory. C17 with C18 extension. Coursed, squared rubble Doulting stone, front elevation; dressed with projecting first floor string course and moulded eaves cornice. Stone slate gabled roofs with copings and
ashlar stone end chimney stacks in 2 stages with moulded caps. C17 building; 2-storey and attic, "L"-plan enlarged in C18 by addition of 2-storey range to front, forming double pile and wing to rear. 5-window front, arranged 2-1-2,
central entrance. 12-pane sash windows in moulded stone frames, 6-panel door with transom light over, set in moulded stone architraves with stone pediment on brackets. C17 building has 2-light stone mullion and transom windows in moulded surrounds. C18 wing; hipped stone slate roofs. Interior said to contain simple plaster cornices and friezes fireplace surrounds from early/mid C18 to Adam period. C17 building reputed to have "A"-frame trusses with curved diagonal windbracing
