11/318 The School



School. Dated 1827 by J. Thompson. Ashlar and faced, coursed Doulting stone with 2-stage, coupled angle buttresses
with pinnacles, battlemented parapets and end gables. Welsh slate roof with central iron ventilator. Gothic revival
style, single storey, rectangular on plan with entrance porches at each end in ashlar stone, with octagonal angle
buttresses with finials, plain parapets and chamfered 4-centred door openings. East elevation has four, 2-light,
9-pane C20 glazing windows with 4-centred arch heads and arched dripmoulds.
