Formerly one house, now two. C16, C18 and C19 alterations. Coursed rubble, triple-Roman tile roof, 3 brick stacks, that to right rendered. "H"-plan. 2 storeys, 1:2:1 bays, those to each side in projecting gabled wings with ridge at right angles to frontage; 2 and 3-light ogee-moulded stone mullioned windows, that to right of first floor of the centre 2 bays in a hipped semi-dormer, that to left of first floor a 12-pane sash window in a plain stone surround; casement to first floor of right wing, paired sash windows with a wooden dividing mullion to ground floor; C20 casement to ground floor of left wing. 3-door openings, to left C20 panelled door with a transomlight; to centre recessed C20 half-glazed door in a chamfered stone surround supporting a slab hood; to right C20 glazed door. Interior of number 8 of considerable importance; right ground floor room with a moulded cross-beam ceiling, the centre boss in the form of a Tudor rose, a carved devil's head to left side, fireplace in a bolection moulded stone surround; roof construction of the upper cruck truss type.
