14/31 Church room adjacent to north
side to tower, Church of St Mary
the Virgin



Church room. C15 establisment, substantially rebuilt late C19. Randoa rubble, pantile roof, coped verges, ridge stacks.
Single storey, 2-bays, tall 2-light pointed-headed stone-mullioned windows with Y-tracery. Central door opening in a
pointed-headed dressed stone surround, plank door, strap hinges, upper section of wall to extreme right projects on
corbel. Interior with fireplace in a massive 4-centre head stone surround. The building may at one tine have been the
dwelling of a chantry priest.
