GV II

House. C16/C17. Random rubble, double Roman and pantile roofs with ridges of slightly differing height, that to left
with coped verges, 2 brick stacks. Truncated cross-passage plan, later adjacent building to east incorporated. Two
storeys, 3: 2 bays; left 3 bays with 3-light stone mullioned windows to first floor, similarly moulded 4-light stone
mullioned windows to ground floor under stopped labels; right 2 bays with a 2-light wooden mullioned window and a C19
casement in an ovolo moulded stone surround to first floor, no window openings to ground floor. Principal door opening
to dwelling to extreme left; roughly chamfered and dressed stone jambs, recessed C20 plank door with 2 small glazed
lights. Interior with moulded cross-beamed ceiling; scribed plank and muntin partition with moulded enrichment;
fireplace in a broad moulded and dressed stone surround; chamfered 4 centred arch opening in a dressed stone surround;
winder staircase; exposed ceiling beads with stepped stops.
