Stairway and associated railings and gate. C18. Twelve broad dressed stone steps on a coursed and squared rubble base,
upper step gives onto a landing. Railings to South side of steps and around landing forming a balustrade, wrought-iron,
each rail with a spear cap; at bottom of stairway a baluster supporting a scrolled section of handrail. Gate at base of
steps in conforming style. Wrought-iron piers, 4 urn finials. Included primarily for group value with Church of St John
the Baptist (qv).
