21/170 Yew Tree Farmhouse

Farmhouse, now house. C15, altered C17, C20 exterior features. Rubble, double-Roman tile roof, coped verges, brick
stacks. Open hall house, later floored with wing at right angles to right forming an L-plan. Single storey and attic,
2:2 bays, to left 2-light casements with leaded lights; to right 2 and 3-light casements, on first floor in gabled
dormers with copings. Flat roofed rubble porch in the angle between the 2 wings, plank door, strap hinges; C20 inner
door. Interior with 3-bay cruck roof; fireplace in moulded surrround, stone jambs, wooden lintol; ground floor ceiling
with large square joists. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, August 1976).
