12/56 Ye Old Market Shoppe



House and shop. Cl6/C17, refronted early C19. Roughcast scribed in imitation of ashlar, parapet with coping, pantile
roof with ridge at right-angles to frontage, part rendered brick stack. Three storey, single bay frontage; second floor
is false consisting of 2 12-pane sash windows in blank openings in a tall parapet; 16-pane window to first floor,
stepped voussoirs. Small double shop front to left of ground floor consisting of a 2-light window to each side of a
small ribbed and glazed door, narrow faciaboard overall; further door opening to right of ground floor; C20 part-glazed
door, blocked fanlight, open pediment on brackets and pilasters.
