4/97 William Cook chest tomb, in the
churchyard, 10 metres south of
south porch, Church of St Congar
GV II

Chest tomb. Remaining inscription of 1807 to William Cook though the chest
itself is probably mid C18. Dressed stone, plinth below ground level; chest
with decorative corner pilasters and a central pilaster to each side, moulded cornice, hipped slab top moulded around its edge. Sole surviving inscription
to south side.
