ST44NW CHAPEL ALLERTON CP
Farmhouse. Early C19. Rendered and scribed as ashlar, end pilasters, state roof, coped verges, brick stacks.
Symmetrical, 2 storeys, 3 bays, 16-light sash windows in plain stone surrounds, heads with stepped voussoirs, Central
6-panelled door, transomlight with glazing bars; portico with flat wooden entablature, cornice, triglyph frieze, on 2
circular wooden columns, pilasters to wall. Two storey outshut of lower height to right, possibly an earlier house.
Interior with co-eval features; right ground floor room with broad fireplace surround incorporating 2 cupboards,
further wall cupboard; staircase with moulded handrail and turned newel post; window shutters to front ground floor
