(The Kings Head)



House, now an inn. C17, C18, C20 refenestration. Painted rubble, thatched and pantile roofs, 2 brick and 2 rendered
stacks. L plan. 2:1 bays to frontage, that to right in a projecting gabled wing with a coped verge; 16-pane sash
windows to left 2 bays; 12-pane sash window to first floor of projecting wing, left return to frontage of 2 bays, a 12
and a 16-pane sash window to ground floor, a 16-pane sash window to first floor. Door opening between the bay sets,
paired 3 panelled doors, top panel of each glazed. Wooden sign with raised metal lettering.- "COURAGE" to left of first
floor; projecting painted signboard on a mid C19 wrought iron bracket to first floor of projecting wing. Interior with
remains of a moulded cross-beam ceiling; 2 open fireplaces with broad wooden lintols.
