Marked on OS map as Marlpits Farmhouse. House. Early C17. Roughcast walls with a distinct batter, pantile roof, 2 brick end stacks, (one truncated at time of re-survey June 1984). Two unit and cross-passage house. Two storeys, 3 bays, two-light casements with glazing bars, those to ground floor with slated pentices on ornamental wooden brackets, small stairlight to right. Central door opening, plank door, later corrugated asbestos porch. Large ground floor room with a broad fireplace with a wooden "bressummer; exposed ceiling beans with step and run out stops; well for former winder staircase, stairs now removed.
