Inn, now house and flats. C18, early C19 alterations. Rendered and colourwashed, some ashlar, some random rubble to
rear, hipped slate roofs with wide boxed eaves, a concrete block and a brick stack visible. L-plan, wing to frontage of
2 storeys, wing to rear of 3 storeys. Plain frontage with a single central sash window of 16-panes set flush to wall,
further 12-pane sash window to right of ground floor. Central door opening, half-glazed door, wooden portico on paired
square-section wood columns, columns to wall, gablet above. Centre with window and door breaks forward slightly. Full
height projecting ashlar bow to right return, cornice and parapet, non-conforming C20 anodised aluminium casements on
each floor, Wing at right angles to rear predominently with sash windows with glazing bars in moulded stone
architraves. (VCH forthcoming).
