House. Mid C18. Coursed and squared rubble, rendered corner pilasters, first floor band, hipped slate roof with wide
eaves, brick stacks. Villa with a symmetrical frontage. Two storeys, 3 bays, 12-pane sash windows in dressed stone
architraves to first floor, except centre windows of 13-panes with a semi-circular head in a plain surround; 2 keyed
Venetian windows to ground floor in plain surrounds, 4:16:4 panes. Central semi-circular head door opening, open
triangular pediment on fluted pilasters, 6-panelled door, fanlight with radiating glazing bars. Interior with geometric
staircase, stick balusters, ramped handrail stair-light with stained gothick, glazing; some 6-panelled doors. Flemish
bond brick wall to left of frontage bounding the garden, segmental dressed stone coping ramped down in 5 sections.
Building postulated as Ashcott Vicarage. Villa Cottage attached to rear is not of special interest.
