7/70 Shovel Cottage

Cottage. C17. Roughcast, thatch, brick end stacks. Cross-passage plan. Single storey and attic, 3 bays, 2 and 3-light
casements, to ground floor C19, to first floor C20 in thatched gabled dormers. Central door opening, studded plank door
in a moulded surround, C20 trellis porch. Later wing at right-angles to rear. Interior with exposed ceiling beams;
fireplace with a broad wooden bressuier. (VAG report, unpublished SRO, July, 1980).
