Crossways Swing Bridge

Swing Bridge. 1827 by John Rennie for Bridgwater to Taunton Canal. Wooden bridge rotating on steel ball-bearings in a
circular track. Now the only bridge retaining its mechanism and a very early example of the use of ball bearings.
