Farmhouse, now house. Main portion of c1700, altered late C18; wing at
right-angles to frontage with datestone: "HG 1885", some minor C20 alterations.
Coursed and squared rubble, left return to roadside rebuilt in concrete block,
slate roofs, coped verges, brick stacks, 2 late C18 hipped dormers with sash
windows to main portion, 2 similar C20 dormers to wing. Ensemble forms an
L-plan. House with symmetrical frontage, 2 storeys and attic, 5 bays, 2-light
mullioned and transomed windows to first floor, iron casements, leaded lights;
late C18 tripartite sash windows to ground floor, glazing bars. Central panelled
door in a chamfered freestone frame, flat stone hood on cut stone brackets. Wing at
right-angles to right of frontage, single storey and attic, casement and plank
door on ground floor. Interior with panelled room to left of ground floor, early
C18; early C18 staircase. Attached low rubble wall flanking roadside, incurved
at the driveway entrance; future attached section bounding forecourt, coping,
pair of central gate piers with domed caps, C19 wooden gate.
