Gateway. Probably C18, though may incorporate some C15/C16 material. Painted
freestone. Neo-Perpendicular. Three archways with flat-pointed arch heads,
that to centre widest, those to each side slightly narrower, moulded heads and
jambs, foliate spandrels, labels, small carved figures to each side of each arch,
centre arch with keystone with achievement, cornice over, C20 iron gates and
railings. Prominent roadside position. Puriton Manor is not of special
interest.
