Small country house in wooded grounds. Mid C18, some late C19-early C20
alteration. Flemish bond brick, freestone dressings, rusticated alternating
quoins, dentil cornice, parapets with copings, main block with a hipped
double-Roman tile roof, wings with single pitch pantile and triple-Roman tile
roofs, large brick stacks. Classical symmetrical frontage. Centre unit of 3
storeys, 3 bays; 2-storey canted bay windows to each side, sash windows with
glazing bars to each face, balustraded parapets, moulded architraves; stone
Diocletian window over each bay, moulded architraves; semi-circular head window
to centre of first floor, key and imposts, sash window with Gothick glazing,
architrave; segmental-head window to centre of second floor with 2-light
casement, architrave. Keyed architrave door opening to centre, triangular
stone pediment on consoles, three-quarter glazed door. Three storeyed wing
set back to each side, 2 bays, flush-mounted 12-pane sash windows, upper windows
blank (the third floor being false); ground floor of left wing altered, stepped
forward slightly, triple-light sash window with glazing bars in architrave; left
wing with a shaped gable on the return. Interior with coeval features including
