One building of 2 parts adjoining Tone Bridge. Mid/late C19. 3 storeys to left,
2 storeys to right. Brick, painted to right. Slate roofs with eaves, hipped to
right. 2 windows to each part of building, sashes with glazing bars to 2nd floor
on left only. No 9 has a small return face on north side with a pleasant 3-light
oriel overlooking Tone Bridge. Modern shop fronts to Nos 5 & 7. No 9 has modern
shop fronts under a C19 cornice supported by corbels with depictions of a mermaid
and merman lying on scallop shells.

Nos 5 to 9 (odd) and Tone Bridge form a group.
