Probably late C16. 2 storey plastered timber framed house with 2 roof gables and
3 gabled oriels. Roof tiles, cresting, ornamental bargeboards etc, added in C19.
Gabled oriels have ornamental bargeboards, mullioned and transomed windows with
similar details to No 15. Ancient stone chimney adjoining No 12. Moulded cornice
over ground floor. Modern shop fronts.

No 1A Billet Street, No 66 The County Hotel, the Brendon Bar and No "8" East Street,
form an important group with the listed buildings in Cheapside, Fore Street and the
Parade.
