Contemporary with the main school buildings of 1867-9. One pair of tall gatepiers
at main north entrance to school grounds, Rubble with ashlar dressings, Steeply
pitched tops with finial motif, recessed cusped detail to triangular outer faces.
Decorative shafts through a stringcourse to the corners of main piers. The wall
sweeps out to left and right from each gatepier, The wall is approximately 2 ft
high with taller divisions at regular intervals. Sandstone rubble with ashlar
cappings.
King's College and gatepiers and walls form a group.
