Probably early C19. The gateway is set at right angles to the road and approached
over a cobbled forecourt in front of No 41 Fore Street. Pair of square wrought
iron openwork gatepiers incorporating a circular motif and topped by diagonal
scrolls supporting small urns. Double ironwork gates have tops swept up to meet
piers. Short sections of spear railings swept down in middle are attached to
left and right of gatepiers. Original red brick piers at outer ends of railings.

No 1; gatepiers gates and railings at No 1; former coach house and garden wall
at NO 1 and No 3 form a group with No 41 Fore Street.
