Cottage. Late C16/early C17. Render, slate roof, brick stack left, rendered
right. 2 storeys, 3:1 bays; C20 casements, small 2-light moulded mullion outer
bay right, similar one in gable end of right return elevation. C20 plank door
centre. 0utshut at rear. Interior: stud and plank screen divides ground floor,
to right newal stair beside chimney bay, fire place with bread oven, summer
fireplace, and unusually tall bacon smoking chamber, access from fireplace now
blocked with door in outshut, small piece of plaster decoration upstairs bedroom
right, 2 pairs of jointed crucks. A finely restored cottage, unusual in that it
retains so many original features.
