ST02NE WIVELISCOMBE WITHOUT CP FORD (North side)

3/105 Ford Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse, now divided. Late C16 with early C19 and C20 alterations. Render with
painted rubble gabled cross wing left, slate roof, brick stacks. L-shaped plan
with C19 service wing projecting forward left, attached malthouse (q.v) right. 2
storeys, 1:1:3:1 bays; C20 casement windows, entrance to right of centre through
lead canopied decorative wrought iron porch. Outshut at rear. Interior: plank
and muntin screen right of cross passage with square headed moulded door frame,
(similar to backdoor of cross passage), round headed arch giving access to
corridor and early C19 staircase along rear elevation, 3 bay arcade on first
floor landing, fine moulded wooden panel ceiling to left of cross passage.
