stream 20 metres East of Lydeard
House
-

GV II

Footbridge, with railings, over stream. Late C18, railings probably renewed after 1945. Red sandstone random rubble,
rendered coping, 3 arch span with vermiculated keystones, abutments swept back on West side, terminated prematurely on
East where ground rises slightly. Simple wrought iron uprights, horizontal top, central scroll panel and curved
supports. The ground drops away sharply on South side of bridge with the water chanelled under the centre arch where a
stone projection forms a small cascade.
