Cottage. Late C15, enlarged late C16 - early C17, undergoing restoration at time of survey (April 1983). Random rubble
and cob, thatched roof, stone stacks. Open hall house, later ceiled and enlarged to 3 cell and cross passage plan,
facing South. One and a half storeys, 6-bays; C20 diamond pane 2 and 3-light casements, single light opening left end
bay lighting fireplace, projecting wing second bay left, single storey extension right. Entrance transferred to North
elevation. Interior: stud and panel screen, partially renewed on right of cross passage, to right chamfered beam with
unusual and sophisticated stop, probably mid C17, chamfered bressummer beam across East end forming large fireplace bay
originally lit from West side, now from South. Chimney backing onto left of cross passage, stud and panel screen
dividing it from next room. 4 pairs of jointed crucks, some exposed with smoke blackening, and one pair of wind braces.
