Farmhouse. Late C16 - early C17, renovated mid C19. Rough-cast over cob and random rubble, slate roof hipped to left,
gabled right, sprockets projecting below eaves, large external stack rear elevation, with bread oven projection, small
stack projecting left return elevation. "L"-plan, facade facing South wing return on North-west set into hillside with
independently roofed addition in angle to North-east. Facade, 2-storeys, 3 bays with full height projection on
South-east side, C19 3-light casements with 2-light above centrally placed gabled porch, projection with 3-light
casement inserted and small glazed opening to right. Interior: front room right has large chamber to right of blocked
fireplace, inserted ceiling with smoke blacking above, partially cob lined, blocked flue. Circular bacon curing chamber
to left, now entered from present day kitchen to North which has blocked bread oven. Chamfered beams in two central
rooms, on East front with cider house at North end, containing late C19 machinery.(VAG Report, unpublished SRO, March
1981).
