GV II

House. Late C16 - early C17 refronted C18 and enlarged early C19. Red sandstone random rubble, rendered facade, moulded
plinth, quoin strip right, slate roofs, steeply pitched on main block shallower on independantly roofed extension,
brick stacks left and right marking extent of original building. Plan: probably 2 cell and cross passage extended one
bay left to include carrigeway entrance, and later extended 2 bays right. 2-storeys, 1:5:2 bays sash windows, first
floor 6 pane sash windows in 3 bays left, others 12 pane sash windows, ground floor C20 windows in 2 bays left of
doorway, others 12 pane sash windows. Square headed carrigeway entrance outer bay left; 6 panel door fourth bay left
with flat roofed wooden porch, slender columns with curved brackets rising from imposts form arch, ogee-headed returns.
