GV II

Almshouses, now private dwellings. Dated 1912. Roughcast, central gable with half timbered apex fronting hipped bell
cast roof, wing to left, all with diamond pane asbestos slates, overhanging eaves and twisted wrought iron sprockets,
large central rendered stacks, one to left and left gable end. Plan: single cell units, asymetrical front. Arts and
Crafts style. Two storeys, 4 bays, original leaded casements largely intact, flat roofed 2-light dormer casements
flanking central 4-light casement gable end, similar below, 2-light mullioned and transomed windows in outer bays,
leading partially removed left, windows renewed end left bay; raking buttresses to entrances which are round headed in
outer bays of central gable, square headed left and right, latter with inserted rectangular light above, all with
cantilevered hoods suspended from twisted wrought iron chains, plank doors. Central circular plaque with initials CLF,
dated 1912.
