Cogan family chest tomb, in
churchyard about 8 metres South
of South aisle, Church of St Mary


Chest tomb. Late C18 early C19. Conglomerate top, Portland stone with lias panels, Ledger topped fluted frieze with
circular insets, moulded plinth. Inscribed on all faces to members of the Cogan family; earliest dedication on forth
face to Thomas Cogan and his son, also Thomas, died 1788 and 1779 respectively. Remains of plinth supporting railings
on North side.
