Farmhouse, gable end onto road

GV II

Coachouse with loft over and sheltershed, now range of farmbuildings. Dated E/J M(artin) 1733 South gable end, altered
mid C19 and mid C20. Red brick, Flemish bond, coped verges, kneelers, plain clay tiles, pantiles, double Roman and
triple Roman tiles, catslide roof over shelter shed. Plan: long range of coach house with loft over lying North-South,
shelter shed on East Eide with bays enclosed. South gable end: early C18 red brick, 3 circular openings in gable end,
string course. East front double row of nesting holes running the length of building through partly obscured by shelter
shed, inserted C19 openings, central double door openings East and West still extant, Remains of coeval stables to East
not included due to alterations, Listed for historic interest as an example of dated early brickwork in the county, ard
for group value with Hyde Cottages (qv) and Canal Bridge (qv) to North East.
