Cottage. Late C16-early C17, enlarged and faced in brick early C18. Cob faced with brick, rubble plinth, blue lias and
brick north gable end, thatched roof hipped south side, pantiled rear wing, brick stacks marking gable ends of original
building. Plan: 2-cell enlarged to 3-cell, outshot at rear and rear wing. One and a half storeys, 2 eyebrow dormer
2-light set in exposed cob wall, ground floor many paned 2-light casements with keystones, entrance via pantiled roofed
projecting 2-bay linhay, probably late C19, studded plank door. Interior partially seen, left hand room with axial
beam, chamfered with step and runout stops, C20 grate. Left return gable end with dogtooth moulding in brick.
Externally a remarkably unaltered early C18 frontage, and one of the prettiest cottages in this part of Somerset.
